By Erin K Costello MAM! Brought to you by the words “vaccine, vaccines, and vaccinate!” For real though, click on any of these words on her blog and you’ll see how she $hills. Let’s get started in proving MAM to be a lying liar. “I don’t relish in writing this post. In fact, I seriously wish I didn’t need to." If you don’t relish writing the post, and wish you didn’t have to, then just don’t. Is there a gun to your head? No one even cares dude.

By Erin K Costello For those of you who follow our Facebook page What’s The Harm?, or our sister page NO MAM, you probably seen several posts made due to MAM (Modern Alternative Mama) and her absurd behavior. For those of our readers who are unfamiliar with MAM let me suggest you begin with our very first post to become acquainted with the queen of hypocrisy. For everyone else who is curious about what exactly happened this past week, let me explain. By Erin K Costello As much as I feel as though there’s a dead horse taking my beatings, I can’t ignore the dangers in failing to respond to MAM and the imagined sleight she claims to have now suffered over the Ohio House of Representatives HB559 proposed legislation. There’s a lot to cover so I’m going to just jump right in. By Erin K Costello Normally I don’t pick apart the homeschooling posts, but this time I’m willing to make an exception. It isn’t often that I walk away after reading a post, even a post by MAM, without having learned a single bit of information I hadn’t already known. It also isn’t often that I walk away more confused than ever. Let me begin by saying I support homeschooling, and even unschooling just as much as I support traditional schooling. However homeschooling techniques should rival that of traditional schooling techniques. Just like we expect the very best teachers in our public school classrooms, we should put the work and effort in to becoming the very best teacher in the home. Our efforts should also be on behalf of our children and what is best for them. They should not reflect what is best for us. With that being said, let’s check out what must have taken MAM about 15 minutes to type up, and pretend it is a resource for educating mamas. By Erin K Costello Once again I read a post from MAM claiming to be a voice of authority on a medical subject or illness simply because she did a few google searches. I’d like to address her post and advice on tick bites, Lyme disease, and what one should do if faced with either. Let’s start at the beginning. By Erin K Costello MAM recently wrote a blog post simulating a letter to pro-vax parents. Please feel free to read parts of it below and become just as angry as I became. “If your child ends up hospitalized due to whooping cough, or chicken pox, or measles…or maybe, if they simply catch it and are doing okay (depending on how much you dislike illness), you want someone to blame. You want to show people the “reality” of these diseases…and beg them to help these diseases stop happening" Ok, where to begin? What exactly depends on how much I dislike illness? How sick my child gets? How mad I get? Wanting to assign blame? Wanting to show people the reality of these diseases and beg others to help them become a thing of the past? I WANT TO SWEAR type in a fury fueled rage right now and finger punch my keyboard over JUST the first paragraph. By Erin K Costello One of the most often used examples of proof provided by the AV community is the vaccine insert or package insert. They will often refer to this document as proof of vaccine injury or proof vaccines aren’t safe. As ironic as it sounds, AVers will often refer to this document written by big pharma as proof as to why big pharma shouldn’t be trusted. They often oversimplify this document without understanding this document in full. What is a package insert, and what does it all mean? |
