By Erin K. Costello I'm going to try something a little different this time. Instead of writing a blog post for our readers (the few, but wonderful readers our website has), I am going to write an open letter to Kate Tietje, aka Modern Alternative Mama (MAM). She'll likely continue to pen posts talking shit about us, that's fine though. I just get tired of the bitch games. Here's my response to Kate's post concerning an open letter document written by a page and website admin of ours, then uploaded to Google docs for everyone to use as they wish. Without further ado, this one's for you, Kate.

By Erin K. Costello Satire Most of the people you find on-line that are advocates against vaccinations are women, or mothers rather. Most of the groups on Facebook that exist mainly for advocating against vaccines have an overwhelming number of women joined as opposed to male group members. The anti-vaccine crowd is not some girls’ club however. Most prominent mouth pieces against vaccinations are male as opposed to female. The popular male squawkers would be Andrew Wakefield, Del Bigtree, Dr. Mercola, Dr. Sears, David Avocado Wolfe, Robert F Kennedy Jr., Alex Jones, Larry Cook, Brian Hooker, Mark Blaxill, and Dinesh D’Souza. You have your few popular female parrots as well such as, Jenny McCarthy, Tenpenny, Polly Tommey, Erin Mercola, Brandy Vaughen, Suzanne Humphries, and Kate Tietje. The male voices may be more abundant at this level of the game, but not in the social media arena. It is in this area of anti-vaccination advocacy that women soar over the men. I used to think I was this only one who noticed this, or the only one who cared. That all changed when I read a new poll and read the subsequent study that followed soon after. By Erin K. Costello Earlier today I saw a post on Facebook that claimed 16 people were cured of cancer in 1934 yet no one learned of this miracle because....money. This post was shared by by someone who is known in the alternative medicine community of ignorance. It consisted of a video from the Facebook page Gaia, along with the following comment written by this certain leader in ignorance, "This doesn't surprise me, but it makes me angry. The AMA is basically a terrorist organization. They suppress information that isn't 100% in line with their view of medicine, and/or if they can off it. "First do no harm?" More like "First get the money!" What drew me in was the "terrorist organization" remark. I found this to be in very bad taste considering today is 9/11, and she was speaking of an American agency in this manner, on today, of all days. As a result, I felt a sense of duty to learn the facts about her claim and this American agency. Here is what I learned about this alleged "terrorist organization" and their involvement with Royal Rife. By Erin K. Costello Call me crazy, but if you are going to come out and accuse a federally funded agency like the CDC (Center for Disease Control) of purposely manipulating the public with lies to do anything, let alone choose to vaccinate, then you need to come at this with your "A" game and bring indisputable facts that support your theory. This is an agency responsible for the overall health and well being of a nation, of our nation. This is an agency funded by tax payers, meaning everything they do is public. Their spending, funding, research, and data, it is all publicly available to see. Which leads me wonder, how is it that Kate Tietje, aka Modern Alternative Mama or MAM for short, can call herself an author when she doesn't know the first thing about research? Or, was her post not so much a creation of laziness, but was a purposeful attempt to mislead her readers? Let's address this the facts first. |
